Tyrrell Family Donation to Pokolbin Rural Fire Brigade

On Thursday afternoon, 8 April 2021, the Tyrrell family from Pokolbin were proud to present the Pokolbin Rural Fire Brigade with a donation of $5,000.

This amount was generated from the proceeds from the sales of one only 2020 wines produced by the family. The 2020 grape crop across the Hunter Valley was largely lost to the effect of smoke taint from the bushfires. In the case of Tyrrell’s Vineyards it was estimated that more than 80 per cent of their crop was lost to smoke taint.

The Tyrrell family is grateful for all the work the Pokolbin Rural Fire Brigade do in both times of crisis and on a daily basis for their community.
